Mutsa Madzivire
I am a fourth-year major in New Media Studies. Research is one of my strongest attributes; I am motivated by the need to analyze the impacts and causes of phenomena. I am a strong communicator, as I am confident in my research and my beliefs on any topic I speak about.
I have a strong interest in how branding shapes careers in the music industry. I enjoy examining how psychology shapes people’s attachment to media personalities, such as musicians. My interests are clearly reflected in my chosen major and in my decision to take mostly marketing and psychology electives. The courses help me better understand the relationship between an artist’s brand and their audience. I enjoy looking at media strategy and consumer psychology to influence pop culture.
